I've improved some over the years. And now that I've retired, I can spend more time in my shop. Over the past decade or so, I've developed an interest in making musical instruments, particularly folk harps, guitars and marimbas. But I also enjoy other woodworking projects as well. Lately, I've been working at the Woodcraft store in Cincinnati on Fridays and Saturdays. Feel free to stop in.

Please visit the woodworking links below. I would love to build an instrument or other wodworking project for you.

Woodworking (Guitars, folk harps and other fun things)

My interest in woodworking is decades old. My very first project was a kitchen table for our small family in 1982. I was a rookie for sure. My woodworking tools consisted of a hacksaw, flathead screwdriver, hammer, ruler and a drill. I used pine 2X4s for the frame and plywood for the top. I laminated a Formica veneer on top and sides, and painted the 2X4s a flat brown. It was both ugly and beautiful at the same time. I wish I had a picture of that thing. It lasted years and years. It eventually became a table to support small table saw, then eventually discarded.
